The next memorial in this installation is for victims of the Iraq war. Both sides of this battle. Our young people were sent by our government. Some survive. Some do not. Some are killed and some survive perhaps with injury, perhaps not. We really don’t know them either. Our government has played down their homecoming. Some news outlets run their faces for us to see for about 10 seconds. We see their ages. Mostly in their 20s. Young smiling faces. I do not know personally anyone of the people who go to Iraq. This war is fought and their sacrifice is not borne by the entire nation. Our nation listens to propaganda.
